procurements

Commission/Service Procurement (government procurements) refer to calls for proposals by Public Sector Organisations (Ministries, Hospitals, Municipalities and Public Services) according to specific procedures, in order to obtain goods, projects and services necessary for their proper function.

The Government does not contact each supplier separately in order to discover the most advantageous offer, but invites suppliers to submit their offers through a tender.

Government procurements are finalised by written contracts called “government procurement contracts” or, more simply “public contracts”, which determine the content and the terms of the agreement between the public service (contracting authority) and the individuals/enterprises (suppliers).
